Have nothing to watch on Netflix? Here is a solution

Netflix

We have all been binge watching in this lockdown and Netflix has seen an unprecedented spike. And there have been instances when we think we have run out of options and now Netflix has come up with a solution. The content-streaming platform has been trying to give you more options and they have now announced a new tab called ‘New & Popular’ that will club some of its content rows together.

However, this new section is going to show up only on TV devices and is expected to roll out widely to all users now after being tested in April this year.

The ‘New & Popular’ section will be seen together in the ‘New’ row on Netflix along with the ‘Coming Soon’ row and the ‘Top 10’ row. Also, the ‘Top 10’ row made its debut in February this year and will be refreshed every day.

This new section will also include a new row called ‘Worth The Wait’ and this will allow users to preview shows that are coming to the platform any time between the next 15 days to a year.

The ‘Worth The Wait’ section which is on Netflix is very important for the platform as it will give the users one sure to set the reminders for what they can (eventually) watch next. This is also something that will make the users stay on the platform and not even give up on the subscription just because they have nothing new to watch right now.

Netflix has seen a massive growth over the last quarter and has added 10 million subscribers. However, this growth was primarily due to the ‘user-retention’ issue. Netflix lost subscribers for the first time last year and price rise was one of the major issues behind the same.

Around the same time last year, there were a number of other streaming services which made their debut and given that “competition is steep for well-known titles like Friends and The Office”, as per the Verge, Netflix had to come up with a plan which would help keep its current subscribers on the platform.
