Facebook’s new Messenger Rooms features might well filter down to the other partner apps which include Instagram and WhatsApp. The company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has already confirmed about the same in a Facebook post.

This announcement will make WhatsApp users very happy as what the Messenger Rooms essentially does is that it allows users to include up to 50 participants in their video calls. This feature was spotted by the WABetainfo a while back when the latest WhatsApp beta 2.20.139 update had included the feature of Messenger Room shortcuts within the app. This shortcut will allow users to make a Room which will help them make a call very quickly and then redirect them to the Facebook Messenger App.

Messenger Rooms is a service which will allow users to create and build separate rooms for video conferencing. Users will then be allowed to send out invites to people with an invite link and through this, they can also join the video call even when they do not have a Facebook account.

The service was used in Facebook Messenger first. Now, Facebook has been introducing the Messenger Rooms feature all across the globe.

One can find the Room option in the Pin icon down present inside the chat session. Also, it is present in the Calls section near the Call button.

When this is clicked, there is short info about the feature and you can then make a new room by pressing the ‘create new room’ option. This is when you can see a message which will redirect you to the Messenger app.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that this will be extended to Instagram and although, it is currently available on Beta it will be reach the stable versions in the near future.
