Telegram introduces multiple new features


Telegram has introduced a whole host of new features to its messaging service in a bid to improve user experience. The cloud-based messaging app has incorporated features which include profile videos and 2GB file-sharing capabilities at a time when remote work has become a norm for people.

The app became the 8th most downloaded app in the second quarter of 2020 and it will allow users to set a number of accounts on Telegram Desktop. Also, it has brought in an enhanced Photo & Video editor, improved People Nearby, Mini-Thumbnails as well as Group Stats, and New Animated Emoji.

2GB File Sharing: This is one of the most important updates and with this, it has brought in is the 2GB file sharing. Since 2014, Telegram users could file up to 1.5 GB each. However, with the new update, users will be acan send unlimited numbers of media and files of any kind up to 2 GB each.

Profile videos: Users who use Telegram extensively, this is a rather exciting feature as users will be set videos as their profile display. Not only this, users can also choose any static frame as a profile picture in their chat window. Also, users will be able to edit their videos by putting into use the skin softener on photo and video editor.

Multiple Accounts on Telegram Desktop: Users will be to sign in from Telegram from multiple accounts from multiple accounts in one go.

Filtered contact list: As per this update, users will be able to filter messages from people in their contact list and new messages even from the numbers which are not saved in contacts in order to de-clutter the message list and to prioritise messages.
