There is a report by AppBrain (via Android Police), Google Classroom wasn’t one of the most popular education apps on the Play Store until early March 2020. However, Coronavirus lockdown imposed in nations across the globe has seen a massive surge in the usage of this app.
When this article was being filed, Google Classroom has now registered over 50 million downloads on the Google Play Store. Also, it is the number one free education app available on Android. Additionally, Classroom is now one of the top five apps in the United States.
The report also adds that the app is one of the most installed apps in a number of countries across the globe which includes Canada, Finland, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico and Poland.
Google Classroom, as has been mentioned before, is free of cost. It allows free education app and this allows teachers to connect with their students. It also allows them to test themselves with paperless assignment workflow. It also allows teachers to create, review and mark assignments all in one place.
Not only this, the teachers can also send announcements and start class discussions instantly. Also, it enables students to share resources with all their peers and exchange question and answers to the stream.
