WhatsApp fixes storage usage bug: New features in latest Android beta update

WhatsApp is currently working on a slew of new features. The messaging app has rolled out features which include wallpaper dimming, new sticker packs, and more. All these features have been made available for WhatsApp beta users and once the messaging app has finished testing, it will be rolled out for a wider audience.

As per Wabetainfo, WhatsApp in the latest beta update, has fixed the storage usage bug that had appeared in the previous update. There were a number of users who had complained that the Storage Usage section that WhatsApp was developing had crashed when the beta testers tried opening it. However, after the latest update, it has been resolved and testers can now use the app.

Apart from fixing the bug, WhatsApp has also introduced a new sticker pack which is called Usagyuuun for Android users.” iOS users have received the same sticker pack now, as per the report.

The messaging app is also working on a new feature which will be called Wallpaper dimming. This feature will allow users to choose the opacity of their WhatsApp wallpaper. It will help in enhancing the user experience further as per the fancy of the users.

Also, reports suggest that WhatsApp is working in adding doodles to wallpapers. The Facebook-owned messaging app will give an option to users if they want a wallpaper or if they prefer WhatsApp doodles on the wallpapers.

Hence, if this option is enabled, the users will get the chat solid wallpapers sprinkled with doodles on it. Having said this, users can also choose to have a plain wallpaper. All these features are currently being tested for Android, but there is no confirmation whether these will be made available for iOS users or not.

WhatsApp is also working on a couple of other features and these include the vacation mode as well as auto-archive chats. The Vacation mode feature will allow users to mute notifications from archived chats.
