Gionee might have tapered off in the recent past but the brand under different ownership still continues to launch budget handsets in certain markets. The latest phone from the company is Gionee S12 Lite, which made its debut a few days back in Africa. Now, another smartphone which is called Gionee F8 Neo has made its appearance.
This newly launched smartphone is another budget smartphone from the brand. It will be powered by UNISOC (formerly Spreadtrum) SC9863A which was found inside the Gionee F11VE. This chip comes with a 1.6GHz octa-core CPU that consists of a 8 x ARM Cortex-A55 cores and 550MHz PowerVR GE8322 GPU.
The F8 Neo will come with a 720 x 1440 (HD+) display. And it will also have 2GB RAM and will run on the Android 10 operating system. The screen resolution renders it a rather premium look which can work in the favour of this handset.
“Gionee products are going to be developed by the team based in India. The company is also committed to locally manufacture all its products in the country. In the smartphone category, Gionee intends to provide an unadulterated UI and UX to the consumers,” the company said in a statement.

It is also loaded with features such as face unlock, slow motion, panorama, night mode, time-lapse, burst mode, QR code, face beauty among other features.
