In an age when opinions on social media matter a lot, or, they seem to be meaning a lot, a blue tick on Twitter is a sure way of getting noticed. The blue tick is the verification badge given by Twitter to let people know that the account present is authentic. This badge appears next to the name of the user or next to the account in the search results.
The accounts which misuse the badge by displaying it elsewhere, for instance in the profile photo, header photo, or bio, are not verified accounts. These verification badges must be applied only by Twitter, and accounts that use a badge otherwise can be suspended.
Steps to get your Twitter account verified:
STEP 1

One has to update your profile details and make sure all the information in the profile is updated including your Twitter bio, profile picture, etc.
