Honor 9X review: Aesthetic phone which could have better specifications

Key specifications: The phone will come with a 6.59-inch full HD+ LCD full display and will have up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal memory. It will also have a 48MP+8MP+2MP rear cameras as well as 16MP selfie camera and is powered by 4,000mAh battery.

If we take a look at the design, the Honor 9X will grab your attention. There is also the Midnight Black colour variant which is glossy owing to which, it makes the smudges more visible. There is also the Ocean Blue variant, but then we have to say that the Midnight Black colour looks far more regal and premium.

If we take a closer look at the phone, we see the material which is being used at the back is different that the material used on the sides. The phone also has a metal strip which runs all around the sides. This provides a far more aesthetic look to the phone. There is also a wtriple rear camera which is vertically aligned on the top-left corner.

If we take a look at the weight of the phone, the 9X weighs 196.8 grams. If we compare it to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and even the Realme 5 Pro, it is slightly bulky. However, if all the characteristics are concerned, the users might not feel the difference.

The power and volume buttons are situated on the right side, but they are quite visible and pretty easily accessible. Also, the location of the fingerprint sensor on the back is brilliant as the fingers fall naturally on it.

Flip the phone to the front and there is a 6.59-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen without a notch, which Honor calls as the ‘FullView’ display. There is no notch and well, we are not complaining at all as we are quite pleased not to find one in a smartphone priced under 20,000. The price of the phone is Rs 13,999 (base model).
