LG does not believe in flooding the market with smartphones in quick succession and the company has a good representation across all the price ranges. Now, there are reports which suggest that the South Korean electronics giant is working on two new smartphones which will bear a water drop-style notch display.
Both these smartphones bear model names L555DL and L455DL but as of now, their commercial names are not known. Both these phones come with a very similar design, where the notch houses the selfie camera and a thick chin is visible at the bottom.
These two smartphones by LG have been leaked in press renders and were shared by renowned tipster Evan Blass on Twitter. Blass shared the model names of both the phones and was also tipped that LG’s upcoming smartphones will be made available in the US via Tracfone as a part of the carrier’s contract.
There is no information if the two smartphones will make their way outside the American market.
It should be mentioned here that the renders show a run of the mill design adopted by LG for the two smartphones. There is a dedicated Google Assistant button which is present on the left edge and is present just below the volume rocker.
The power button is on the right edge of both smartphones. Both these renders show just the fascia of the smartphones, there should be a 3.5mm headphone jack on either the bottom side or the top side. The chin on the smartphones looks old-fashioned and is similar to the one on Pixel phones.
As far as the interface is concerned, both the smartphones come with LG’s UX which is based on Android 9 Pie. Also, the company is expected to widen the rollout of Android 10 on its devices and this is where both the smartphones could get an update.
No official word has been said about the phones, and the pricing of the phones is not yet released. So, if we look at the devices, the prices could be mid-tier.
