LG’s new TONE Free TWS budears can self-sanitize using UV rays

LG’s new TONE Free TWS earbuds can self-sanitise using UV rays

The LG TONE Free TWS earbuds will also be an upgrade when pitted against the predecessor with a new design and features.

At a time when sanitization has become absolutely mandatory, LG has cranked it up a notch and hence, the latest pair of truly wireless earbuds have been launched with a built-in UV disinfectant. The latest TONE Free TWS earbuds will come with a model numbers HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6 and will come equipped with an industry-first self-sanitizing charging case.

Also, the charging case has the company’s UVnano technology which will clean the earbuds of any bacteria as well as other pathogens while charging them. Not only this, but the LG TONE Free TWS earbuds will also be an upgrade when pitted against the predecessor with a new design and features.

The LG TONE Free earbuds will also be launched in Stylish Black and Modern White colors and will be made available in European and American markets and will be rolled out next month. The other regions will also get these earbuds at a later date after which the pricing will be announced.

The company claims that the latest UVnano technology will kill 99.9 percent of E. Coli and S. Aureus bacteria from the ” non-toxic, hypoallergenic silicone ear gel” as well as the inner mesh on the earbuds. This will help keep the ears clean from the virus.

LG is also citing studies that say that the earbuds carry more bacteria than even a chopping board of the kitchen. Now, only the high-end LG TONE Free HBS-FN6 model will come with a sanitizing charging case. This also means that one will have to dole out extra money to use UVnano technology.

“DSP not only recreates a realistic soundstage that simulates the experience of listening to real loudspeakers, it also delivers vocals with pristine clarity, completely immersing the listener,” said LG in a statement.

“LG has always striven to deliver better sound to more consumers and with our new TONE Free earbuds we are expanding on our successful partnership with Meridian Audio,” said Park Hyung-woo, head of LG Home Entertainment Company’s an audio and video division. “On top of great sound, TONE Free brings something new to the table that is also very practical.”
