Homegrown handset maker Micromax is currently working on launching a new 5G phone and also foray into the accessories category and this include a pair of TWS earbuds, as per the company co-founder Rahul Sharma, According to Sharma, Micromax, which made a comeback in the Indian smartphone industry last year, would unveil its 5G smartphone ‘soon’.
Micromax top executive are working rigorously towards launching a 5G phone. Sharma went on to note that the company would launch the 5G device soon. However, he did not specify a timeline of the launch, as per a report in Gadgets 360.
The top company executive also said that Micromax would foray into the true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds category in India as well.
In December this year, Micromax co-founder Sharma had hosted a virtual session on YouTube where he gave hints that the company has put its efforts to develop a new smartphone which would be having 6GB of RAM. He went to add that the phone will feature high refresh rates and liquid cooling and will be the next model in the in series.
Rahul Sharma and Micromax India Product Head, Sunil Joon also addressed a number of user concerns during the session and stated that Micromax would start selling its smartphones offline in the Indian market soon. During this session, Sharma also said that a new phone with 6GB of RAM was in the works and this new smartphone will not be a variant of the recently launched Note 1. The In Note 1 will come with 4GB of RAM with storage options at 64GB and 128GB.
Apart from 6GB of RAM, Sharma also gave a hint that the smartphone would arrive with liquid cooling and high refresh rates on the next Micromax In-series. He went on to say that Micromax had started bundling a back cover panel with the Note 1.
