Motorola last year announced the Moto E6S (Review), and now the company has announced another E-series device which will be called the Moto E7 Plus. It is an affordable offering, but then there are a major design shift and spec bump.
This phone is priced at Rs. 9,499 for the single 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage variant, Moto E7 Plus will be available in Misty Blue and Twilight Orange colour options. It comes with the goodness of Stock Android, 10W charger as well as 48-megapixel primary rear camera. Here is what we think as far as the competition Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung branded phones under Rs. 10,000 is concerned.
Moto E7 Plus Review: Design and display
On the first look, you will be reminded of Moto G9, which was launched at a price of Rs. 11,499 in the country. It also brings a square-shaped camera array at the back that houses two sensors, and a fingerprint reader which is located right under it. Also, it has a water-repellent design and a beautiful gradient finish plastic rear panel.
The handset feels great, but then if used intensively, it could see scratches and dents which is not quite what you expect. However, if you use a protective case (that you have to buy separately), you will be able to prevent the phone from losing its shine.
It has been launched with a dedicated Google Assistant button, and comes with a single SIM tray slot with space for microSD card.
On the front, there is a 6.5-inch HD+ MaxVision display, 20:9 aspect ratio as well as a water-drop notch cut out. What really works is that the display is brighter and sharper when compared to several other handsets that we have reviewed in this segment. There are vibrant colours indoors, but it could have been better when sunlight directly beams on it.
The phone operates on Android 10 Operating system and packs 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of internal storage. This can be further expanded to up to 512GB memory via dedicated microSD card.
