Motorola has finally launched its much-awaited G series budget smartphone, Motorola G9 on Monday. This phone will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The phone has been priced at Rs 11,499 and will be available in only specification as well as two colours – Sapphire Blue and Forest Green. The sale of Motorola’s budget smartphone will commence on August 31.
The Motorola G9 will be with a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS TFT LCD Max Vision display and will come with 1600 x 720 Pixels and a waterdrop style notch. The screen to body ratio of this phone stands at 87 per cent and the aspect ratio will be 20:9.
Once we lift the hood, we will see an octa-core 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor which would be sufficient for mediocre gaming.
However, it needs to be mentioned here that there will be only one variant of the budget smartphone with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can then be expanded up to 512GB via MicroSD card.
Flip the phone over and on the rear, you can see a triple-camera setup consisting of a primary 48MP camera (f/1.7, 1.6um) as well as a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP camera for macro photography. There is also an 8MP (f2.2) camera. The phone will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery which supports 20W Turbopower fast charging.
Now, on the back, there will also be a fingerprint sensor which is just below the camera module. It supports face unlock as well. As per claims made by Motorola, the smartphone is water repellent. It has a loud bottom-firing speaker as well a headphone jack which is at the top of the smartphone. The phone chugs along on Android 10 out of the box.
Motorola G9 will be in direct competition with the recently launched and existing budget smartphones which include Realme C15, Redmi 9 Prime, Redmi Note 9, Realme 6i, Oppo A9 as well as others.
