OnePlus has made all the right noises around the OnePlus Nord which will be announced on July 21. OnePlus Nord will come with six cameras in total. The new phone will have two front-facing cameras for clicking selfies.
Not only this, the phone will come with a quad-camera set-up at the rear panel. There are images of OnePlus and as per this, OnePlus recently confirmed that OnePlus Nord will feature a 48-megapixel camera as its primary shooter.
OnePlus in its official blog post shared a release by Simon Liu where he revealed details on the camera department of OnePlus Nord. The company has confirmed that this Nord will come with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 image sensor as the primary camera. The main shooter will be coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. Also, there will be a 5-megapixel depth camera and a macro camera which completes the rear quad camera set-up.
OnePlus has also included the same 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor in its OnePlus 7 series phones, and also in the OnePlus 8 smartphone. Liu confirmed that the Nord’s primary camera will use the f/1.75 aperture to its full capacity. Also, the main camera will also have optical image stabilization.
When the phone is flipped, there is an OnePlus Nord which will feature a dual-camera set-up. The main selfie camera will come with a 32-megapixel image sensor which is paired with an ultra-wide-angle camera. Liu also confirmed that the ultra-wide-angle selfie camera will offer a 105-degree field.
The blog post added that both the front-facing cameras will “come with algorithms that automatically leverage the power of AI and long exposure technology to brighten up selfie and reduce noise in low light”.
OnePlus said that the six-camera system is “one of the most diverse camera systems” that the company has ever put into a smartphone.
