Chinese handset maker Poco is all set to launch its new device in India but then it would not be the F2 Pro. The upcoming device which is about to be launched in the country would be an exclusive device for the Indian market.
There have been previous reports which say an independent smartphone brand of Chinese handset maker Xiaomi is all set to launch the Poco M2 Pro for India. The phone was spotted on the BIS certification platform which says that the device could be launched soon.
The Poco M2 Pro was spotted on the BIS site with model number M2003J6CI and this is the same as the model number that was seen on both Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth certification sites. However, the BIS site does reveal any in-depth details about the device.
The handset maker had posted a teaser on Twitter earlier this month which said that the device would be made in India under the “Make in India” initiative.
Poco M2 Pro – which is a mid-range smartphone by Poco is also in the works as it was also spotted in Bluetooth SIG and hence, this phone could be launched anytime soon.
If we go by the previous rumors, the smartphone has been in the works under the codename “gram”. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720 chipset and the device would support Bluetooth v5 and dual-band Wi-Fi. Also, the Bluetooth SIG listing for the Poco M2 Pro phone with model number M2003J6CI reveals that the device will feature Bluetooth v5.0.
All these details were revealed in a new report by PhoneRadar.
“With a dream of serving Indian consumers, @IndiaPOCO was born 2 years ago in Delhi, India. We took ahead of the #MakeInIndia initiative by making products and services that are crafted for India. We were, are, and will always be #POCOForIndia!,” Poco had posted on Twitter.
