Realme X7 Pro 5G Introduced: Price, Specifications

Realme X7 Pro 5G

Realme’s cookie-cutter design formula for its smartphones has been working wonders for the company and now, they have kicked off 2021 with two new models called the Realme X7 and the Realme X7 Pro. Both these phones were earlier announced last year in China and now, they have been rolled out in the Indian market. The Realme X7 Pro is priced at Rs. 29,999, which puts it in the slot between the Realme X7 and the Realme X50 Pro.

This is one of the first smartphones in India which comes with MediaTek’s Dimensity series 5G SoCs. The phone also comes with a high-refresh-rate display, super-fast charging and plenty of cameras. It locks horns with the likes of OnePlus Nord and the Oppo Reno 5 Pro 5G.

Realme X7 Pro 5G price and variants

Realme has launched the X7 Pro 5G in India and this comes in a single configuration, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This is LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage, but there is no support for for expandable storage in the form of a microSD card slot.

Also, there are two colour options — Mystic Black and Fantasy — of which the latter is the one I have. It comes with an iridescent glass rear panel and looks quite funky.

Realme X7 Pro 5G design and specifications

The Realme X7 Pro 5G is very similar to the Realme 7 Pro which costs ₹ 19,990. The similarities are quite canny when it comes to the design of the rear camera module. One-handed use is quite comfortable thanks to the slim body and relatively low weight of 184g. Also, the physical buttons have a good tactile feel and the polycarbonate frame feels sturdy. Apart from this, the glass back and the pre-applied screen protector do pick up a lot of fingerprints, but we can easily wipe them off.

Even when it is put to heavy use, the 4,500mAh battery can easily last the entire day. And, there is the 65W SuperDart fast charging which means that this phone can be charged up to 91 percent in half an hour.
