Realme X7 series confirmed for India launch – Details

Realme X7

Realme’s CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed that Realme X7 will be rolled out in India in 2021. Now, he stopped short of naming the date when it would be launched, but by all reports, the phone will hit the market in the first few months of the year. This information was made public by Sheth via his Twitter handle that has millions of Realme fans all across the country.

With this announcement, he has also brought to ha halt the long-standing speculation about the launch date of the line-up that will see two new phones  – the Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro. Both these phones were launched in China earlier in the year as affordable 5G smartphones. In the tweet, it was also mentioned that the company plans to “democratise 5G technology in 2021” with both these two phones.

It needs to be mentioned here that there are two phones in this series, but there are suggestions that there could be three devices when the Realme X7 series comes to India. We can safely assume this as in September, there were rumours of a Realme X7 Lite after a TENAA listing with model number RMX2173 was revealed. As per the listing, the phone could be a toned-down version of the Realme X7, but we cannot assume anything until it becomes a reality.

The Realme X7 and X7 Pro are two powerful devices – the X7 Pro is definitely the more powerful of the two. It comes with a 6.55-inch Super-AMOLED 1080p display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate as well as a 20:9 aspect ratio. Also, it is powered by a capable Dimensity 1000+ processor. The other impressive specifications include an 8GB RAM as well as 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage, which can also be expanded using a microSD card.

There are camera on the Realme X7 Pro that include a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 primary sensor, a 119-degree ultrawide 8-megapixel sensor as well as a 2-megapixel portrait sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The selfies on the X7 Pro will be taken care by the 32-megapixel camera that X7 also has. The phone will be powered by a big 4500mAh battery.
