Redmi 9i smartphone has finally been launched on 15th September 2020. The phone has been rolled out with a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels as well as an aspect ratio of 20:9.

The phone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 processor and it features 4 cores which clock at 1.5GHz and 4 cores clocked at 2GHz. Also, Redmi 9i has 4GB of RAM. It chugs along on Android 10 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery – it also supports proprietary fast charging.

Now, if we focus on the cameras, the Redmi 9i on the rear comes with a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a pixel size of 1.0-micron. Also, the rear camera comes with an autofocus. Not only this, the phone has a 5-megapixel camera on the front which is just perfect for selfies.

It runs on MIUI based on Android 10 and comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB) with a dedicated slot. It is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone and both types of sim cars.

The Redmi 9i measures 164.90 x 77.07 x 9.00mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 194.00 grams. It was launched in Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green colours.

We now focus on the connectivity options and it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth v5.00, Micro-USB, 3G, and 4G (and there is a support for band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).

As of 16th September 2020, the price of Redmi 9i starts at Rs. 8,299.

The smartphone will be available via the first sale which goes up on September 18 at 12PM via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores. Eventually, the phone will eventually be offered via physical retail stores as well.
