Redmi Note 9 will be launched in India on Monday, July 20. This new phone will join Xiaomi’s popular Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. It is expected that it will also have the same features and specifications as the global variant. However, the model which will be launched in India will have better RAM options.
As per a report, Xiaomi is doing away with the 3GB RAM model for the Indian market. The company will, instead, launch a new 6GB RAM variant in the country. The combinations could thus be 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB, which will be similar to Redmi Note 9 Pro’s.
Earlier in April this year, Xiaomi had launched Redmi Note 9. The smartphone comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ screen and is expected to powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. As far as the software is concerned, it runs on Android 10-based MIUI 11.
Also, the phone will be launched with a fingerprint sensor as well as an IR blaster. It will run on a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.
If we take a look at the camera, the Redmi Note 9 has four sensors on the back. The configuration is 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and two 2-megapixel depth and macro sensors. Flip the phone over and one can see a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
As per reports, Redmi Note 9 will be priced under ₹15,000 in India. In this segment, it will compete with the likes of Realme 6, Poco M2 Pro, and Samsung Galaxy M21.
