Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Review: Slick watch for great performance

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 is one of the best smartwatch in this category, especially at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic has hit the economy. This gadget would hold true at any given point of time, especially when we are all working from home and need one tool which will have all your bases covered.

The Galaxy Watch 3 comes with a whole host of features and this includes SpO2 and VO2 Max readings, fall detection, several watch faces, among others.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 design is largely unchanged from previous models, and this one of the best aspects of this gadget. This modern-day smartwatch can act as a secondary device to your connected smartphone.

Now for instance, Garmins or the Apple Watch Series has brought new design elements to the wearable category that one can wear almost daily. And, this is where Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 stands out. It is a great amalgamation of design and elegance and will always appeal to watch lovers.

The rounded watch features comes with a physical rotating bezel and is very core to the UI. The 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display supports 16 million colours and features 360×360 pixels resolution. The Watch 3 also comes with a stainless-steel casing that offers a premium feel and at the same time adds to the sturdiness of the device. This rotating bezel comes with tactile click sound which makes for easy navigation.

The buttons have been rounded and this adds to the overall visual appeal. This one is a head-turner as it is a mix of traditional rounded watch design and the all-new UI. We got the 45mm LTE model for the review, and there is also the 41mm model that costs slightly less. Watch 3 comes in 4G (LTE) and Bluetooth models.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 uses genuine leather for straps which is a step up from the silicon-based straps which we saw on some previous models (like the Gear S3). This watch comes with an IP68 rating can handle water and dust. It also comes with military-grade durability.

The Super AMOLED panel is bright, and there were no issues with the display even when using under direct sunlight. It is powered by a dual-core Exynos 9110 processor which is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage.

One of the biggest highlight features of the Galaxy Watch 3 is the SpO2 which tracks blood oxygen levels on demand which has been in demand owing to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 starts at as low as Rs 29,990 for the 41mm Bluetooth only version. Also, there is the 45mm Bluetooth only variant which comes at Rs 32,990. The 4G (or LTE) variants – 41mm and 45mm cost Rs 34,490 and Rs 38,990, respectively.
