Sony launches Z8H 8K TV in India: Check price, features here

Sony launched its first 8K television in India. This new Sony Z8H 8K television is priced at ₹13,99,990 in India and it will go on sale in the country starting October 5 via Sony retail stores, www.ShopatSC.com portal as well as a number of electronics stores and e-retail portals.

If we talk about the features, the newly launched Sony Z8H 8K TV comes with an 85-inch display. It is powered by Sony’s X1 Ultimate processor and as per Sony, this processes data to power 8K pictures with four times the resolution of 4K. 

The company also believes that its X1 Ultimate processor can upscale 4K and 2K images to 8K resolution using 8K X-Reality PRO technology. It also comes with 8K X-tended Dynamic Range PRO with 14X XDR contrast and this further enhances the contrast by simply adjusting the brightness for higher peaks in glare and then deep blacks in shadow.

Now, coming to the software, the Sony Z8H chugs along on Android TV and this extends support to over 5m000 apps and games from Google Play. This includes YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Video, Disney+ Hotstar. 

Also, there is a built-in voice assistant. And then there the Sony Z8H TV is compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. What really makes it work that it also works with popular smart speakers like Google Home and Amazon Echo.

The audio is top notch, this newly launched 8K TV comes with an acoustic multi-audio, S-Force Front Surround Sound as well as Dolby Atmos.

And then, there is the TV comes with a new backlit remote control. And the buttons of the remote turn on automatically when picked up in dark. Also, it comes with a built-in voice control microphone and then, there is an enhanced button layout which makes it extremely easy to use and handle.
