Xiaomi on Friday has announced that it will be launching its long-awaited smartphone, Mi 10. The company had been dropping the teasers about the phone for months now but was delayed owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, that the lockdown restrictions have eased in few areas, Xiaomi has finally proceeded with the launch.
Xiaomi has already rolled out the Mi 10 in Europe and China. The phone is also one of the many ways of Xiaomi making a return to the premium category. Xiaomi had, earlier this year, announced Mi and Redmi as sub-brands. The former will focus on the premium segment of the phone market.
Mi 10 Price, Availability
Mi 10 8GB, 128GB model is currently priced at Rs 49,999. The 8GB, 256GB model will be made available at Rs 54,999. Xiaomi is packing a 30W wireless charger for customers who will pre-book the phone. The phone will be up for sale on Mi.com and Amazon starting today (from 2PM).
Mi 10 Specifications
Mi 10 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor and it will be coupled with 8GB of RAM and offer up to 256GB storage. There is also a 128GB storage option. This phone will chug along on a a 4,780mAh battery and will have a 30W fast charging support (this will be both wired and wireless). It will also come with reverse wireless charging support (10W).
If we look at the software, Mi 10 has MIUI 11 custom ROM. The phone will also have also has Wi-Fi 6 support and USF 3.0 storage.
Mi 10 will also have a 6.67-inch 3D Curved E3 AMOLED display and it will come with full HD+ resolution, HDR 10+ support, as well as 1120 nits peak brightness.
Also, it will be launched with a 90Hz screen refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The phone comes with dual stereo speakers and they have dedicated 1216 Super Linear Speakers.
