Xiaomi is all set to release its next affordable flagship series ‘Redmi K30’ and as per reports, it will make its debut next month in China. The phone has been showing up in leaks and reports with the latest one showing features which include 120Hz display, Sony IMX686 sensor and even a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
There are new details which have emerged and as per this, new details for Redmi K30 come from the MIUI 11 code for an upcoming Xiaomi phone and is dubbed ‘phoenix’ and this was first spotted by xdadevelopers.
There could be a side-mounted fingerprint sensor
However, this does not confirm all the features for Redmi K30 but then, these could well be true as far as the flagship model is concerned. There could be a side-mounted fingerprint sensor which will be placed on the right side of the smartphone. Now, these side-mounted fingerprint sensors aren’t something new as they are already available on Samsung phones.
Xiaomi Redmi K20 has an in-display fingerprint sensor and well, this has become standard even for budget phones. Xiaomi could keep this feature for the base model of Redmi K30. As far as the graphic for the side-mounted fingerprint sensor is concerned, it shows a punch-hole display with dual selfie cameras which are going to be present on the Redmi K30.
As far as the 120Hz display is concerned, it was discovered through a hidden setting in MIUI 11 for refresh rate. Hence, the users can toggle the switch the display refresh rate from 60Hz and 120Hz. As things stand right now, there is no Xiaomi phone which has 120Hz display and hence, this setting could be something new for the upcoming Redmi K30. Sony IMX686 image sensor is the latest from the company which it has already teased recently.
