Asus ROG Phone 2 review is out – It is the best phone for gaming

Asus ROG phone

Last year, Asus launched its first gaming phone ‘The ROG Phone’ in India. It was a superb power-packed phone and was loaded with gaming features but its cameras did pull the phone down. Also, the price was a huge impediment.

And now this year, Asus launched the ROG Phone 2 which has been launched with even more powerful specifications and also has an extremely attractive price tag.

Asus ROG Phone 2 starts at a base price of Rs 37,999 and Rs 59,999 for the high-end variant. Also, there is a massive step up as far as the display, performance, battery and camera departments are concerned.

The display is much taller with a 6.59-inch screen and also has a higher 120Hz refresh rate. The rear fingerprint has been replaced with an in-display one. Asus ROG Phone 2 comes with two USB Type-C ports at the bottom and on the side. It is just tall enough for all the gamers.

The ROG Phone 2 delivers excellent performance, and during the usage, the smartphone barely has any cooling or throttling issues with any kind of workload. Also, there is the 120Hz display and 240Hz input refresh rate – the overall speed was enhanced even more.

The Air Triggers is a rather unique feature of the first-gen ROG Phone, are even better in the ROG Phone 2.

The 6,000mAh battery can easily last anywhere between a day to just under three days, depending upon the use. The phone sports a dual-camera setup of 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

For all the pros, low-light photography still poses a challenge and there are different photos which could have been better under dimly-lit conditions. All in all, ROG 2 is a superb phone for all you gamers. Go, indulge!
