It has become an ongoing trend as every week, the Epic Games store has added a free game for players to claim, and Rage 2 has been the biggest attraction for this week. Absolute Drift is also free to claim on the Epic Games Store.
Now, it needs to be mentioned here that players will only have until February 25 to claim the free games and this means that they will need to act real fast if they want to play them.
The free Epic Games Store titles will rotate after one week. And once they are claimed, they will stay in the player’s library and can be played at any time. With this, players will be either able to head to the free-to-play games section, where the weekly free game will appear, or they can opt to search for the games individually. After this, all they have to do is to claim the game or download it to be ready for a later date.
The version of Rage 2 can be claimed as the standard edition. It will be back to the full-priced $60 after the free week. Also, there will be a deluxe edition of Rage 2 which is later scheduled to land in the Epic Games Store.
Rage 2 is published by Bethesda and developed by iD Software and Avalanche Studios. Players can identify the iD Software as the developers of the Doom games that have become recent critical hits.
When launched, Rage 2’s gameplay was believed to incredibly fun, and the world and story did not quite live up to expectations.
Also, the overall reviews were not too bright but then it was received with open arms. It is a free game, Rage 2 is certainly worth claiming and playing.
This is what the brief description of the game says on the Epic Games Store:
“RAGE 2 brings together two studio powerhouses – Avalanche Studios, masters of open-world insanity, and id Software, creators of the first-person shooter – to deliver a carnival of carnage where you can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything.”
