PUBG Mobile, which is the sister mobile counterpart of Battle Royale multiplayer title for PC and consoles received the latest update with a new Zombie mode. The Zombie: Survive Till Dawn limited time event has added fresh gameplay to the title which is a result of the collaboration between Resident Evil 2 and Tencent.
With this latest update, the players have to not only eliminate the other players but also survive the zombie attack for two consecutive nights. There is a new update in the pipeline and according to YouTuber MrGhost Gaming, players might well be able to be zombies themselves to thwart standard players.
As per MrGhost Gaming, PUBG Mobile posted a message on Facebook on February which was primarily aimed at getting feedback and ideas from users about the new zombie mode: The post apparently stated, “Do you want to see more new modes with zombies? How about new varieties of zombies? Or even…play the game as a zombie?”
However, on scouting for the post, we found no trace of it, and it could well have been the case of the company taking down the post. It is clear, nevertheless, that the developers are seriously contemplating rolling out this new update for the game.
Also, the report goes on to further state that the new feature could well be added to the Zombie mode along with new updates like Call Of Duty Zombie Mode. In this COD Zombie Mode, players will encounter zombies in waves and the one that survives most waves wins.
These updates could well be a response to the growing popularity of Apex Legends, which for the time being, is only available on PC and consoles but has only grown from strength to strength since its launch. The online Battle Royale game has racked up over 25 million registered players just one week after it was launched. Now, Respawn’s CEO Vince Zampella has come out and said that the new title has well over 50 million total players after just over a month since its initial release.
