70-inch Redmi TV launched – When will it be introduced in India?

Just at Rs 38,000

After months of wait, Redmi has finally announced that they are ready with the Redmi TV. On Thursday, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi launched different products in its event which took place in China. Redmi TV was one of the four products which were launched. The TV will have a 70-inch 4K HDR screen and as far as the price is concerned, it costs around Rs 38,000. However, the question which is the most important is this – will Redmi TV come to India?
Although, Redmi is yet to confirm the launch of the product in India, as per different reports, Redmi GM has revealed that the Redmi TV 70-inch will come to India. This was confirmed by Redmi GM, Lu Weibing in an interaction with the Indian media post the launch event.
As things stand now, the price of Redmi TV in China is set for 3799 yuan which translates to around Rs 38,000. There could be a variation in the price, but experts believe that there might not be too much discrepancy, Redmi TV may cost around Rs 40,000 in the country.
It needs to be mentioned here that the Redmi TV comes packed with 4K HDR screen, Dolby Audio, 3 HDMI, 2 USB, Amlogic SoC, and Dual-band WiFi. It will be extremely similar to Mi TVs as the Redmi TV will also be released with PathWall based on Android that contains all the content.
We now take a look at the design and this is where Redmi TV appears to be slick and is a winner. The bezels around the 70-inch screen of the Redmi TV are extremely slim and this renders the TV a premium look. There is also a Redmi logo towards the chin.
The TV has been launched with 2GB of RAM and also has 16GB of internal storage. It also supports phone scan code for faster projection. What could tilt the equation in its favour is that the Redmi TV is the cheapest 70-inch TV available in the market right now.
