Asus TUF FX705DT review: Impressive display, strong performance

It might not be too far-fetched to say that Asus is perhaps one of the few PC brands which offers a number of awesome options in its laptop variants. One look at the ROG and TUF series gaming laptops and the users will be absolutely spoilt for choices. So, if you are willing to shell more cash, or want a laptop fitting in your budget, there will be options out there for you to pounce on.

We take a look at the TUF series which has been receiving a number of new variants using AMD power and the latest one — the TUF FX705DT, is another shining example. Now, this laptop uses a rare combination of an AMD Ryzen 7 3750H processor and an Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card.

This one is priced at Rs 82,990, and owing to aforementioned features, this combination does seem like a proper steal.

This TUF series is the affordable series of gaming laptops and is also durable enough for the rough usage which might happen when gamers get their hands on it. There is a plastic lid with a brushed metallic finish. Yes, this design might not grab all the attention, but is effective. There is no sharp lines and the plastic lid is also resistant to smudges and hence, is very easy to clean.

Asus has always maintained its own stand and the latest Asus TUF FX705DT maintains that trend. The display is bright and the 17.3-inches that renders pictures at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is a great deal.

AMD’s processors are super fast and are much more affordable to an Intel equivalent. Now it will be coupled with a robust GTX series graphics, which is a perfect package for dependable performance.

There is also a GTX 16 series card which has offered improved performance as compared to the GTX 10 series cards. Also, Asus comes with an 8GB RAM which is the standard along with 512GB SSD. It, as usual, runs on Windows 10 Home.
