Honor Watch Magic – Reviews, features and details

Honor Watch Magic is priced at Rs 14,999 which is designed to look exactly like a regular watch.

India is perhaps one of the most lucrative destinations for companies when it comes to technology and gadgets, but then this has not been the trend as far as a smartwatch is concerned. As per a report by Counterpoint, the Indian smartwatch market is only 1 per cent of the total global share, which basically means that smartwatches have not yet taken off in the country.

Apple continues to dominate the market here, followed by Fitbit and Samsung, but now, Honor has jumped in with its own Honor Watch Magic.

This Honor Watch Magic is priced at Rs 14,999 which is designed to look exactly like a regular watch. However, it also offers features which are quite intrinsic to smartwatches like workouts, sleep tracking and heart rate monitoring as well as notifications. For the price offered, these features are not too bad.

Since the watch has a regular display it should attract a wider audience. There is a circular dial with a chronometer as well as a non-rotating bezel. This is different from the Galaxy Watch as it comes with a rotating bezel. Also, the surface of the body of this Honor watch is made up of stainless steel while the underside is made up of plastic. The leather and steel look lends it a very classy look which makes it a perfect fit for formal occasions at a workplace.

It also comes with a heart rate sensor which can be located on the bottom of the body and is also 5ATM water-resistant. Also, the 1.2-inch AMOLED display comes with a 390×390 pixel resolution which makes it quite bright and sharp.

As far as the battery is concerned, it is packed with a 178mAh battery, but do not let it fool you as it is enough to stand four to five days much like the Samsung Galaxy Watch. In order to set up the watch one needs to download the Huawei Health app on Android or iOS and the pairing process is not too cumbersome.
