Humara Bajaj Is Back! Bajaj Chetak all set to launch in new avatar

Humara Bajaj

Good ol’ days!

Perhaps one of the most nostalgic jingles from our childhood days that still makes us groove and which still resonates in our hearts and minds – ‘Humara Bajaj’. And well, we can no longer keep calm because this iconic Bajaj Chetak is making a comeback.

As per a report by CNBCTV18, Bajaj Auto Ltd. is all set to launch an electric version of the Chetak scooter on 16th October. The company is clubbing all its electric mobility products under a new brand, Urbanite, and the revamped Chetak scooter will also be a part of it.

This particular scooter is named Chetak Chic Electric, and it will be the first electric scooter manufactured by the company. The event at which the new electric scooter will be unveiled is also named ‘Humara Bajaj’. Wow, talk about nostalgia.

As per the report, this new model is expected to be priced around Rs 1 Lakh and will take on models such as Ather 450. Also, it will sport new features which include a retro-modern design and a rounded headlamp which is expected to be an all-LED unit with LED DRLs.

As per a few leaked images, the scooter could spot a single side trailing arm unit like the one seen on Vespa.

Combating the ever-increasing menace of pollution is perhaps the biggest issue facing the country and this one sure step of looking at solutions for the same. Back in 2017, Rajeev Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto stated that the company intends to be the Tesla of two-wheelers. We expect the upcoming Bajaj Chetak Chic electric to come with good build quality and multiple premium features under its sleeve.
