If leaks and rumours are to be believed, the iOS 13 update is expected to be the biggest update to Apple’s smart device ecosystem since 2017’s iOS 11. In what will be for the first time, it is also expected that Apple will include a few specific changes which have been demanded by users for a long time.
If we go as per past rumours and leaks, iOS 13 will finally incorporate the highly anticipated dark mode which has already been on Android phones for years. Also, a UI redesign is expected to be adopted in new iPhones.
The dark mode is the biggest change which is being made in the latest version of iOS 13. It will not be similar to the black mode on Twitter as it will be completely black and, hence, will be very useful for users using an OLED-display equipped iPhone. This dark mode will be visible on the Home screen dock.
Now, this dark mode is not the only change being incorporated; iOS 13 also brings a redesigned interface for quite a few of the native iOS 13 apps and features. Also, if you are a regular taker of screenshots, iOS 13 has great news as it will be offering a revamped screenshot taking tool. As compared to the older method, the new screenshot tool offers more editing features. This one has a translucent background and it feels lighter. On iPads, the edit bar is now more rounded and can also be moved around the screen.
There is another app which has got a major redesign – Find My iPhone. iOS, over the years, has been offering the Find My Friends and Find My iPhone apps individually. Now, with this update, Apple has combined them into one app called Find My iPhone.
