Oppo launches Realme 3 – Great battery, great style, mediocre camera

After much delay, Realme 3 has finally been launched in India, and the initial response has been quite vocal for the Smartphone. It comes with an upgraded front camera, which is certainly a step up from Realme 2. Also, the phone has a gradient unibody design and a notch which is waterdrop-style.

Apart from this, there is a dual camera set up at the back and a rear fingerprint sensor. The device has a 13 MP + 2 MP camera setup at the rear, which features a PDAF fast focusing and f/1.8 aperture, and this is where the camera could have done better. The images are not quite sharp with blurry lighting and leave a lot to be desired.

The “chin” which is at the bottom of the screen is a little bulky, but it won’t bother you. Also, the screen is nothing to write home about, but with the 720p resolution, it is fine for viewing and regular use. The features are quite impressive – a Helio P70 processor, a 4,230mAh battery, and runs on Android 9 Pie-based Color OS 6 are indeed very lucrative. This model will be sold exclusively on Flipkart in India.

During the launch, Realme also announced that the Realme 3 Pro will be launched in India this April.

Price of Realme 3

Price of Realme 3 in India has been set at Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage option. For the 4GB RAM + 64GB variant, the price is at Rs. 10,999. The different color variant for the same will be Dynamic Black, Radiant Blue, and Black. Along with Flipkart, the phone will be available on the Realme website on March 12 at 12 pm (Noon) IST.

However, the Radiant Blue variant will only be available from March 26, after which it will be made available in offline stores too. The pricing structure is aggressive and will undercut strong competitors like Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7.
