A three-month old startup from AOB India – AOB Events is all set to receive INR 100 Cr. investment for undisclosed valuation from a reputed investment banker. Once materialized, this will be the biggest deal post-COVID in the start-up segment. Our sources estimate the evaluation of the online event platform at INR 1000 Cr.
“We are happy to have the trust of investors and will be using this fund in expansion of the platform”, says Praveen Kumar, Founder of AOB Events. “We shall be sharing 5 percent of this with employees who have stood by us for long and have helped AOB Events to scale new heights”, he goes on to say as he explains the future plan.
With the new found money, AOB Events plans to conduct 1000+ events before the end of April 2021. This is going to be implemented very aggressively with marketing across the length and breadth of the country. AOB Events promises to connect 100 million buyers to potential brands this financial year. With Times Group backing the brand, this may eventually beat all the lead providers with AOB Events creating a space for itself.
The leads are going to be huge! AOB India is going to provide the additional bandwidth required by the exhibitors to meet the requirement of handling the leads generated through each event. The excellent support of on-demand sales or tele-sales executive are stationed for each brand to make sure that the lead generated through each event are converted into business.
AOB Events will also be going international in the financial year 2021 – 22. The company has shared the expansion plans in Middle East, South East and European countries.
