Noise cancellation technology, which until now was only heard in headphones and earphones will now be rolled out by Google in its Google Meet team video conferencing software. Google aims to cut the background noise which becomes an impediment for the users when he is speaking and this makes it difficult for him to comprehend what the others are saying.
This is not a new announcement as Google announced the feature back in April. However, this will be the first time it will be made available for users in India.
The news came to light when a Google Meet support page mentioning noise cancellation was introduced in Australia, Brazil, India, Japan, and New Zealand in the coming weeks.”
However, the same feature will not be reaching users in “South Africa, UAE, and the immediately surrounding areas.” The blog did not offer any particular reason for the same.
Here’s how Google Meet’s noise cancellation feature can be turned on:
Step 1: Open Google Meet on the web.
Step 2: Now, click on the three dots which are present on the bottom right corner of the platform
Step 3: Next, click on the Settings button.
Step 4: After this, click on the Audio settings.
Step 5: You need to now toggle the Noise Cancellation button off and you are all set to go.
Owing to the pandemic and the growth in Video calling apps, Google has been placing a lot of focus on its Google Meet platform and has introduced several new features to it and has also integrated it with other platforms as well.
