Realme Koi

Realme’s next flagship will be powered by Snapdragon 888 processor and it will be called Realme Koi. Realme confirmed the same in a Weibo post and with this, all the the speculation around Realme Ace to rest.

This recent announcement made by Realme comes one day after the company’s China president confirmed the next flagship, codenamed Realme Race, will be a part of a new series.

The name of the flagship has been inspired by Koi, which is an ornamented domesticated fish that is known for its beautiful colours. It is significant in both China and Japan. Over the years, Chinese smartphone brands have always been known to give an impressive touch to smartphones and hence, people will be excited to see what the future holds for this 2021 flagship.

Realme shared a poster where it seems to be a poster for magazine cover for Realme Koi. It is decorated with two Koi fish that is superimposed on the Realme’s motto “Dare to Leap”.

However, the poster has not revealed date of the Realme Koi. Now, it can said for sure that this flagship will be coming next year and as per rumours, Realme Koi might arrive in February. This launch could lock horns with Oppo Find X3 series launch.

We spotted a render of this mysterious Realme and this had a square-shaped camera island with at least three sensors. One of these sensors has a 64MP lens. If we look towards the end of the phone, there is branding that has Power Design.

If we peak towards the right side, we see a power button and this means that a volume button could well be on the left side of the smartphone. The other details regarding charging ports, audio jack, and speakers are not quite clear from the image. There is also a fingerprint sensor that looks to be integrated under the display.

GSMArena had shared a screenshot of the About phone page of the Realme Koi device. As per the screenshot, the Realme Koi could well have the Snapdragon 888 chipset, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0.
