The Ghost of Tsushima is going to get a free co-op mode called Legends

Sucker Punch has come with a formal announcement that there will be a free upgrade which will be coming to the Ghost of Tsushima and it is a separate co-op mode called Legends. As per the announcement, Legends will include two-player cooperative story missions as well as a four-person survival mode – both of which are coming to PlayStation 4 soon.

“Legends is an entirely new experience — it’s a separate mode that doesn’t follow Jin or the companions from his journey, but instead focuses on four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima,” the PlayStation blog says.

Now, the story missions on Legends are not in any which way related to the main story of Jin Sakai but on four other warriors and are inspired by Japanese myths and folklore.

“Ghost of Tsushima’s single-player campaign focuses on an open world and exploring the natural beauty of the island, but Legends is haunting and fantastical, with locations and enemies inspired by Japanese folk tales and mythology and an emphasis on cooperative combat and action,” the blog goes on to add.

With this, four players users will be able to take on the wave-based Survival missions which will help them fight some of Tsushima’s toughest enemies that include new Oni enemies who have supernatural abilities.

Not only this, a Raid mode will be added to the Sucker Punch shortly as soon as the Legend releases this fall and it will also involve a brutal and terrifying enemy. Legends is arriving on PlayStation 4 in Fall 2020 as free downloadable content (DLC).
